Scotiabank Centre is reopening on October 3, for the Halifax Mooseheads' 2020-21 season home opener following approval of a comprehensive safe reopening framework that was reviewed by public health, occupational health and safety at the Department of Labour and Advanced Education and Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage. The framework is aligned with the QMJHL return to play health and safety protocols.

The Province of Nova Scotia is recommending organizations limit public gatherings. We respect and support this decision.

(January 29, 2020) – The It’s Our Time Female Leadership Summit  today announced its speakers and launched tickets sales for the event, which is taking place as part of the 2020 IIHF Women’s World Championship. The Summit is on the first day of competition March 31, 2020, at the Halifax Convention Centre.

More than 650 transportation experts will meet at the Halifax Convention Centre, Sept. 15 to 17. At this year’s conference, transportation leaders from around the globe will share best practices in the industry, while discussing advancements and improvements in tolling and transportation technologies providing drivers with greater mobility and enhanced safety.

(KJIPUKTUK – HALIFAX, NS) – At a special send off today for two delegations of Indigenous youth, the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) Regional Chief for NS and NL announced his office and region had the successful bid for the 2020 AFN Annual General Assembly.  Discover Halifax, the Halifax Convention Centre and the Province of NS collaborated on the bid document which secured the event that will result in over $4 million in economic impact for the region next July.
