Suzanne joined the organization in 2010 and quickly became a valued and trusted advisor to the executive leadership team. She is a highly-respected senior strategist and communications practitioner with over 15 years of experience, who in 2016 received the inaugural CPRS Nova Scotia Communicator of the Year Award.
As Vice-President, Experience & Engagement, Suzanne will work closely with the president and CEO to deliver on the organization’s five-year strategic plan with a focus in community engagement, guest experience and building internal culture. She will be responsible for working with teams across the organization to deliver key programs and strategic activities that support our long-term vision.
Expanding on her current role, Suzanne will work to drive and foster a culture centered on enhancing the guest experience within our venues, aligning brand strategy with operational strategy. This will include working with other leaders in the organization to design programs that facilitate stronger relationships with the community and event experiences that align with guest expectations.
An experienced business professional, Suzanne has been part of the leadership team for several years and responsible for many strategic initiatives including business planning, stakeholder and shareholder relations, governance, issues and reputation management and development of the internationally- recognized marketing and communications strategy for the Halifax Convention Centre.
In this new role, she will have overall responsibility for the areas of Marketing, Communications, Community Partnerships and Human Resources and continue to support all areas of the business including the Halifax Convention Centre, Scotiabank Centre and Ticket Atlantic.
